888 Poker’s Latest Team Member: Vivian Saliba

The 24 year old Brazilian beauty is the latest addition to online poker room long list of poker ambassadors’. The rising star of South American poker is the youngest women to enter the World Series of Poker’s Main event. Ms. Saliba finished in 421st place in the 2017 Main Event, almost doubling her initial $10,000 buy in. She made the decision to enter the 2017 Main Event after cashing out at a career high $47,923 in the $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship. Her success at the 2017 WSOP coupled with some well placed interviews caused Vivian’s popularity to really take off, as she joins the ranks as an up and coming poker talent.

Vivi, as she is known as around the felt, joins her fellow Brazilian Bruno Foster as a South American connection for 888Poker. With the rising popularity of poker in Brazil, as well as other sub equator countries it makes sense that 888 is expanding their presence in those countries.

Saliba’s road to becoming a professional poker started not so long ago at the age of 17, when she would accompany her dad to the local card rooms. At first it was all about spending time with her Father and the social aspects of the game. “I didn’t know what I was doing at all, but I made so many friends at the table I wanted to come back” said Saliba. Eventually, her passion led her to be a regular weekend warrior, putting in marathon sessions at the tables to learn her trade craft. Table time and diligent study gave her the skill set needed to become a pro player. And a short 5 years later Vivian became a top professional.

Vivian has been crushing the live events as well as online games. Her latest win is the 888Live Ladies event, after which she officially joined the 888poker team. She is now participating in the WSOP Europe, where she her presence known. She has already cashed in 2 events, finishing 30th in the Pot Limit Omaha event and, 46thin the NLHE Super Turbo Bounty event. Her current tournament winnings exceed $170K US dollars, and much more in cash games.

Vivian Sabila’s exceptional poker skill and happy go lucky personality fits right in with 888poker’s philosophy; skill coupled with game enjoyment and most importantly always coming to the table with a smile.
